We are seeking a highly skilled and creative video content creator to play a key role leading the implementation of our company’s content driven marketing.

You will have extensive creative opportunities and a wide range of responsibilities; you will also will travel to various locations including overseas.

You will be expected to write concisely, effectively and, most importantly, ingeniously to bring our stories to life. You will collaborate with our Head of Marketing and Creative Directors, to create cinema quality, short narrative commercials, mini documentaries and social media native content.

Your role includes leadership of creative and storytelling strategy for informational content in narrative and documentary styles, which will exist in interactive and video formats. Your inspiring story ideas will be turned into beautiful cinematic video series, editorial style blog articles and modified to various social media formats.

This role is strategic and hands-on. Essentially, you must deliver from conceptualisation to final product. Therefore, you must have extensive technical skills including editing, colour grading and extensive cinematographic knowledge.

Essential:

• Cinematography: Lighting control, Softness, Ratios, DOF, Movement
• Interior and Exterior lighting
• Focus Pulling
• Film shoot management
• Basic audio capture (interviews, field)
• Film crew collaboration
• Cinema level cameras, including RED, Alexa, Black Magic
• Adobe Premiere
• MS Office (basic knowledge)

Desirable :

• Adobe After Effects
• Audio mixing for video
• Sound Design
• Drone operation
• Easy Rig / Gimbal operation

You will be creating informative and innovative content that will really take our brand to the next level. Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will also work across the entire marketing spectrum, from helping to create direct mail and blog post through to researching new merchandise, PR and e-commerce in a true omni-channel environment.

To be successful in this role you will have a Marketing Degree or similar and may have already worked in a marketing role. You will be an enthusiastic and bright individual who is motivated and looking for a challenge in their next role.

• Graduate Calibre
• Marketing Degree or similar
• Creative Eye with excellent photographic skills to aid imagery creation across social networks
• Social Media Star: Proven user of social media channels with a high level of understanding of key social networks, particularly Instagram,Youtube and Pinterest.
• Knowledge of social platform management tools advantageous (Hootesuite/Tweetdeck/Tailwind)
• Confident Filming or appearing on film to aid content creation
• Excellent Copy Writing Skills
• Proficient with Microsoft packages & Google Analytics, Knowledge of Adobe software an advantage
• Creative & Flexible Thinker, Self Starter,
• Excellent written & spoken English
• Photo and film editing ability an advantage

The prop builder will work with the creative director to produce a huge range of materials and props for our shows. You will also help maintain our 7000+ litre portable swim tank.

The aim of your job is:

• To manufacture, modify and repair props to a high standard
• To maintain a safe, efficient and cost effective props workshop.
• To maintain standards of quality in all areas of work
• To ensure excellent communication between teams
• To actively contribute to the prop design process

What your main duties cover:

• To work to drawings, photographs, models together with designers to deliver the props requirement of each production.
• To ensure manufacture, modification and repair of props is correctly and efficiently carried out in accordance with safe working and manufacturing practices.
• To use appropriate, hand and machine tools to effect the manufacture, repair and modification of props.
•  To liaise with other team members and act collaboratively.
• To maximise income and minimise expenditure wherever possible.
• To ensure good housekeeping of the workshop areas, including adequate clean-up periods and the effective storage of tools, materials and scenery.

To oversee the entire light, sound, staging and technical aspects of all events across a variety of venues and outside spaces, reporting directly to the creative director and working alongside relevant team members to ensure the smooth running of the show, sound checks and schedule of the event.

Job Description.

To run and oversee the entire sound, lighting and staging aspects of all Mermaid Cove events.

Including:

• Stage construction / breakdown
• Sound & Lighting desk operation and programming.
• Rigging of lights / Projectors / Screens
• Liaising with team members confirming show tech specs in advance of shows.
• Maintenance and correct storage of equipment.
• Some general building electrical and technical maintenance.
• Acts and artist hospitality / Dressing room & rider set ups.
• DJ capabilities for specific events.
• Show announcements / Audience management.
• Auditorium set up
